Portfolio
In his hey day (which lasted through his late seventies), my dad could fix or make anything. And he brought an unusual combination of skill, ingenuity, flexibility, artistry, and good humor to every project, of which there were many and a wide variety.
I am, indeed, my father’s daughter. And throughout my career I’ve approached my work in much the same way, fixing and creating a wide range of written works—from books to magazines, articles, essays, marketing collateral, online content, corporation communications, technical documentation, and more. This online portfolio presents a small sampling of the fruit of those labors.

“My book, One Simple Idea (McGraw Hill, March 2011), reached #1 in three Amazon categories, was in the top 20 of all books sold on Amazon, and received over 50 five-star reviews within a few weeks of its release. This never would have happened and the book would not have been selling so well without the great work of Colleen Sell, my ghostwriter/collaborator. She was able to make my content easy to read, and on top of that, she found my voice. Even though we were on a tight deadline, Colleen was a pro and met all deadlines. She did an amazing job, and I can’t thank her enough. I look forward to collaborating with her on my next book.”

“Nobody knows more about editing and is more proficient. She is fast and makes her deadlines. She’s a talented writer, a real pro, and also a warm and loving human being. What more can you ask for? Okay, yes, she makes a mean veggie lasagna as well.”
