Thanks for your kind comment, Miriam. That blog post was a LONG time ago. I’ve been too busy ghostwriting and editing other people’s books and working on a few of my own to blog or update my site. Someone gave me a RAK shout out? How did I miss that? Hope all is well with you.

Thanks, Ann. One of the best parts of the Cup of Comfort gig has been making connections with many terrific writers (and wonderful people) from near and far. If I ever hit the Lottery, I’ll come to South Africa and do a writing workshop for you and your writer friends. All the best to you.

So glad you’re back and rearing to go. I so enjoyed the contact I had with you when I submitted for Dog Lovers II. Am submitting again! I know you’re at the other end of the world but writing drew us closer and I wish you all the best with your many varied and exciting new ideas. I wish I could take advantage of your workshops we are sadly lacking those advantages in South Africa.

Was that “ahhhh” … as in I’ve found my Zen? (I wish) Or “EEEOOOWWW!” … as in I’m skating naked on thin ice? (My reality)

Ain’t no mistaking my prime objective: financial survival. Whatever it takes. My ex husband used to say I was a “writing slut … pay her and she’ll write anything.” And I will. But I’m also doing my own thang, which I figure has as good a chance at bringing in cold hard cash as any work-for-hire writing/editing I might do. If I can split my time pretty much equally between the two, I’ll be one happy gal.

As some sage somewhere said and a friend recently shared with me, “Don’t wait for the light at the end of the tunnel … run down there and get it!”
